Well today me and 2 other coaches are going to be coaching our under 11s team but we seem to be running out of drills to coach them, and where wondering if anyone could give us any tips or good and powerful drills to give us?
This site is a treasure trove of great drills and session plans. It does depend on what you are intending on focussing on for that session. Is it fitness, footwork, ball skills, defence, attack, shooting, preliminary moves, spreading out, ect... if you want help in a particular area then it would help to be more specific. It makes it easier for everyone on here to help.
in more ways than one
Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
A shooter who can hold a strong position under the post is worth more than one who runs all over the circle. Here is how to coach body shape, a legal hold and a well-timed release, and how feeders make the most of it.
