How can I stop 13yr olds bunching on court?

How can I stop 13yr olds bunching on court?

I am finding the girls are lost on court. Some moving more around court to compensate for others. Should I teach them lines?

Hi Ange,

There`s quite a lot of good answers on this if you search with the search bar at the top of Sportplan, but one thing you could try is dividing the court lengthways to make the players stick to their sides of the pitch (primarily the WA, GA, GD and WD. Also walk throughs of plays could explain and show them the benefits of staying wide and making the court as big as possible!

Difficult with varying abilities as stronger players will want the ball every other pass and move into weaker players space. Coaching positional roles and team work could help. Try playing conditioned games where positions can only pass to particular positions . e.g. GD can only pass to GK or WD ... Good luck
