How can I teach my daughter to jump?

My Daughter is currently playing netball two times a week and training once plus some work at school in other sports, she is twelve years of age but is taller than some of the other girls but they are now catching up but my daughter does not know how to jump because she has been taller. How can I get her to change this through a training routine? She is a good player and I suspect she could be a lot better if she improved her fitness but I am loath to push her developing body.Any suggestions please?

Jumping is a huge asset for any tall player as so many depend on their height and forget that other players who apppear shorter can infact jump VERY high. I suggest a combination of passing the ball to yor daughter at a higt that makes her jump to catch it and also if you have a trampoline having her jump on the trampoline whie you throw a variety of passes to her. Of course using a skipping rope is great for jumping and this can also be done on the trampoline. The skipping rope is also good for footwork and fitness. Definately worth persuing because as a coach i get all my players to jump and always encourage every player regardless of their height to rebound against tall girls. Good luck.
