I wouldn`t treat them any differently to the rest of the team give them the same amount of time playing as the others but maybe get them to help others during training

who is the one making all the decisions in the group? coach or players? i agree you dont treat them any differently, but you could offer that person drills to help extend them, and ask them to help out to help the group as a whole to improve.
