defence side line throw in and warm up drill
Hi, I am a new A Reserve netball coach this year and wondering if anyone had a few set plays for a defense throw in, by this I mean a side line throw in or a base line OUTSIDE the goal circle. very hard. And if anyone could help me with a gameday warm up for 8-9 girls, including goal shooting please and thanku

i agree that sideline throw ins are a tough one to have set plays for. look at you tube to see what the top teams do.
i saw this warm up drill being done by one of the schweps challenge teams. i taught it to my 14yr old team but on a smaller scale (used only a 1/4 of the court and my kids didnt shoot) as their passes were not as strong as the schweps challenge girls. you might find the full version useful.

Warm up drill for game. at least 2 players start on cone 1 and then at least 1 on all other cones. ball is at cone 5. player 1 (cone 1)drives to approx position and catches ball. player 2 drives as indicated and receives from player 1. player 1 runs to cone 2. continue til player 4 (cone 4) is in circle and receives in shooting range and shoots, and takes rebound and then throws to player 5, who throws back to player 1. continue to all team is warmed up. everyone gets an attempt at shooting, throwing and running.
