Have you tried a Thesaurus ? seriously, it may help. In term of tennis, we can use%3A neutralizing, diffusing (an attack), etc

we use halipem or in english translation help. we did this because almost all the teams in our local league understands when we called out for defend,mark, block or D..... so we decided to use a totally different name might sounds unusual and silly.....
