The 1 Vs 1 Drill helps to develop two things- Attacking and defending. However, mainly focusing on defending and what is known as the defensive slide. The defender is trying to force the direction of the attacker to go out of bounce or onto their bad hand creating less chances for the opponent to take on the defender.
Keeping low to the ground and on the balls of the feet standing at an angle to the attacker, which depends what hand they are i.e. Left hand, the defender should stand slightly at the left-hand side forcing the attacker to go on their right-hand whist also blocking the left-hand lane. Arms should be used as barriers that stop the attacker from dribbling past unless you are driving them into corners or other specific ways.

Four players standing still make every ball handler's job harder. Teach V-cuts, L-cuts and back cuts so your team gets open and punishes defenders who overplay.
Good team defence is five players guarding the ball, not five separate one-on-ones. The shell drill is where that starts, so here is how to teach help-side positioning and rotations from the first week of the season.
Rebounding is the least glamorous thing in basketball and one of the most decisive. It is also almost entirely a habit, which means it is entirely coachable.
