Players practice B&A, moving their feet and body position to enable a clean pass. Once familiar with moving the ball at pace, accurately and changing the direction of the pass, introduce 1 less attacker than defenders. Attacking players pressure the ball carrier and other players, forcing the ball carrier to move the ball so they can make a clean pass to the free player. If the ball is turned over, attackers try to score whilst defenders must rally and organise their defence.
Encourages eye up defenders must look for the free pass Attackers must be ready to switch to attacking mode if they achieve turnover Can be played with any number of defenders as long as there is a player overload in favour of the defence. Encourages attackers to press or screen the ball forcing the play where they want it. Defenders can change from back 3 to back 4. Can be started as a 16 yard free hit forcing the defence to choose the appropriate outlet formation
