2 V 2 Tackle & Ruck support drill
Create a 6m x 8m grid. Red player with the ball is tackled inside the grid by the Blue defender at the opposite side of the grid. Once the Red player has entered the grid the supporting players run to the opposite cone and enter the tackle legally. Players contest for the ball for 3 seconds. Ball carrier must keep arms free to be able to present the ball when on the ground. Tackler must release the ball carrier when on the ground but can attempt to turn over possession. Option: have the Blue tackler start drill by running to opposite side of the grid and then pass the ball back to the Red player.
