DESCRIPTION

One player stands near to the net with another player next to them feeding balls in. A receiver stands in zone 5 and digs the balls that are spike to him quickly.

COACHING POINTS

Receiver needs to stay focused to dig the ball towards where the feeder is located.

One player passes an inaccurate long pass behind teammate whose task is to move back and set up balanced position prior to setting the ball back.

Dig 3 Balls | 4 Passing Drills

Dig 3 Balls:

Receiver faces three players who one after another spikes the ball for it to be digged. Change roles after the player has faced 3 spikes from each player.

One, two, tip | 4 Passing Drills

One, two, tip:

Two on two play. The court is narrowed and players are only allowed to tip the ball on the other side (spike forbidden).

Quick Passes | 4 Passing Drills

Quick Passes:

Players stand in pairs across the court from each other. One player has two balls and starts by throwing one ball in the air for the other player to pass back. While this ball is in the air having been passed back, the player throws the other ball to be passed back.
