I've found this resource invaluable and of huge benefit to both my players and myself. Thanks for helping me to improve my coaching.
I am a 25-year old male and I have just been named the girls volleyball coach at a local middle school. Anyone have any good tips? Not just volleyball strategy, but how to deal with middle school girls? Thanks everyone. submitted by email
I am looking for some good plyometric exercises (for all levels) for volleyball?
What are the rules of volleyball?
My daughter is in 8th grade and has made the team this year as she did last. We have a new coach this year who doesn't allow the girls to use their knee pads. What is the purpose of this? Does it help at all with development of the sport? It seems sadistic to me and I can't understand how causing the girls pain will help them to "dig" a ball or encourage them to dive for anything. Thank you
Its been a long time i am coaching the girls volleyball team in our school, for the past 10 years i am happy teaching the grassroot of the fundamentals of the game, but after 10 years I am beginning to feel this so called BURN OUT, and I am becoming inpatient to my players, sometimes i used to shout on them if they cannot perform the skills, they cannot execute the system of play, its always teaching them again and again the same technique that they cannot follow. I already gave several championships to the schools and some of my players are now playing in the higher league and the parents are thankful for the values and discipline i imparted to their children. Still, I am not contented or satisfy with my achievements, why do i feel this?
Where can I get a copy of the rules for volleyball - I am a first year coach and never played the game. Thanks
I would like to develop a program that athletes can use during the season, to build strength in the most important areas for a volleyball player.
I need a program that will help improve the overall athleticism for a girl's volleyball player age 14. Include strength, agility, quickness, jump training, and conditioning.
My focus is on sitting volleyball and I either have to create my own drills or adapt standing drill which requires lots of trawling, research and innovation. If there are any other coaches who have developed sitting volleyball drills I should very much like to access them and I'm willing to share mine too.
I need to design a conditioning program for volleyball and I know absolutely nothing about the sport. Is it possible to give me some ideas on what to put into such a program? Sam
Hi all, I am trying to find rules for Beach Volleyball, but currently I can only find indoor rules, does anyone have any information on the official rules for "Beach Volleyball". Thanks

Sorry, is it not possible to use the animator for the volleyball? I noted that there are any drills with animation (take a look to "Rally Drill") ... are they using the sportplan animation or another tool? Thanks

I'm preparing for next season with some off season session plans for my team. I will probably have a 2 hour slot to look at new players for the season. There will be players of all abilities so my question is ... What are some of the recommended approaches to evaluating these new recruits? I can run then through an actual training session and see if they can handle it but I don't want to discourage players from coming out. Also just to make things a little more interesting it will be a coed session. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
