Volleyball: Ball arm to arm

As someone who is new to coaching this site was just what I needed,...

DESCRIPTION

Players start with the ball in one hand.

  1. Players lift the ball across their body and allow it to bounce once.
  2. Players side-step following the movement of the ball, ensuring they are in position for the next stage of the drill.
  3. Now catch the ball in their other hand and repeat in the opposite direction.

COACHING POINTS

This is a good warm up, for getting players to feel the ball and getting on their toes as they follow the flight of the ball.
