This activity is designed to enhance focus and develop pass and retrieve skills. Players 1 and 5 work concurrently, passing and receiving the ball from 2 to 8. Upon receipt of the ball from players 4 or 8, a shot must be executed (jump shot or lay-up). Subsequently, a rotation is conducted.
Once players have a clear understanding of the exercise, they may perform some variations. Following the completion of a pass, the player in question will proceed to the subsequent number. Players 4 and 8 will then assume the role of defenders in a one-on-one scenario against 1 and 5 (4-1 and 8-5). Regardless of whether the shot is successful or not, player 1 will move to position 6, player 4 to 5, player 5 to 2 and player 8 to 1.
