Defensive Positioning (15 minutes) Set up a half-field. Divide players into two teams. One team attacks while the other defends. Focus on defensive positioning: marking, intercepting passes, and channeling attackers. Counter-Attacking Drill (15 minutes) Continue from the defensive positioning drill. When the defensive team wins the ball, they have 10 seconds to counter-attack and try run over the halfway line.
Coach should stop play to correct positioning and give feedback. Focus on quick transition from defense to attack, supporting runs, and exploiting space.
