Getting the defense to be able to read the attack and be able to put in a tackle.
1. Set up a box 12m wide and 10m long (white cones) 2. In the middle of the white box two channels (black cones) 3m wide x 5m long. 3. 5m down the white cones set up 5 1m gates in different colours with 1 1/2 meters inbetween. 4. Split team in half and get them starting in the channels made. 5. One side is attackers one side is defenders. 6. On the attacking side add another balck cone 3m away from channel. 7. On the whistle both defender and attacker run up the channel. As attacker is frunning from channel to individual cone coach calls a colour. 8. The colour that is called they have to pass through that gate and then beat defender . 9. Defender can only make tackle after attacker has passed through gate.
