DESCRIPTION

1 feeder and 1 worker 1 ball. Feeder throws the wide left right to the worker who has to run out to either side catching the ball and returning it with the outside arm only.

COACHING POINTS

It is important not to rush the return ball make the player learn to absorb and throw the ball in one smooth action

Out and in to receive the ball in the middle:

1 worker 1 feeder

1 ball 4 spots

Worker runs out one of the spots to run back to the middle to receive the ball pass it back to the feeder and run out to the next spot (either in clock or anti clock wise direction).

2 ball skill advanced:

2 players 2 balls 1 ball should only be bounce passed and the other ball should be chest passed through the air.

Ball catching skills and quick movement:

Two players stand two meters apart.

The receiver turns their back on the feeder and awaits their instructions. When the feeder gives the command, shouting left, right, above (their head) or center (into the player's body) the receiver must quickly turn around and be prepared to receive the ball, where necessary taking two to three small but fast steps to the side in preparation for receiving the pass.

Reaction drill:

Players work in pairs (1 feeder and 1 worker).

The worker turns her back on the feeder.
When the worker turns around (on the feeder's command) the Feeder throws the ball close to the worker for her to react and catch or collect the ball after one bounce.
After catching the ball the worker returns the ball to the worker.

Drill continues in this way.
