DESCRIPTION

Cones are placed around the worker (white 1). The worker has to run to each of the cones in turn to receive a ball and returns it to the Feeder (blue 1). Worker must return to the centre before moving to the next point.
Variation: Worker sprints to the outside cones, and returns to the centre to receive the ball.

Follow your pass (Zig Zag) | Passing

Follow your pass (Zig Zag):

Workers pass the ball to the person at the next cone and then immediately follow it each time.

Once the ball reaches the final cone the final player passes the ball to the waiting players and then sprints to join the back of the queue.

Push the pace | Passing

Push the pace:

  • Setup the practice as shown.

    • The worker throws the ball to their partner before running around behind them and back to their starting position.

    As the worker is running back they will be thrown a high pass by the feeder.

    Passing Lane | Movement

    Passing Lane:

    Player 1 passes to their partner then moves to the next cone to receive the ball back.

    This repeats until players reach the end of the area.

    The Clock | Passing

    The Clock:

    Split players into groups of at least 10 players, with one ball between them inside a square grid (half a third).

    Players work in pairs (1-4) who start opposite one another. The ball starts with the number 1 (top left corner).

    • The ball is passed around the outside of the grid. After the player has thrown the ball they switch places with their partner.

    Players do the skill practice for 1 minute then rotate clockwise to the next numbers start point.

    Challenge - if players do not make it to their point in time and miss the ball they are out.
