Communication Strategies

Communication Strategies

Are there some type of activities/drills for communication for my team. They just don't talk to each other when playing!!

Hi, I would suggest drills such as "Circle passing" where players are required to speak to one another in order to pass the ball between them. It also adds in a competitive element where two teams are playing against each other to reach 20 passes, this can also be easily adapted.

Alternatively, use zonal drills to improve communication and movement to space as players have to "cover" their team mates.

Circle Passing

DESCRIPTION
Players get into groups of 5 or more and form a circle, initially working with one ball per group. The aim of this drill is for players to pass the ball around the circle using bump passes, trying to reach 20 passes without dropping the ball.
