Beginners Set Drill 3 Grass ro...

A drill to improve hand to eye co-ordination for beginners.<br /><br />The player uses their wrists to hit the ball up in the air. <br /><br />The ball can bounce on the ground before it is knocked up in the air again.

Pass And Toe 4 Passing Drills ...

Players work in pairs with two balls between them. One ball starts on the floor with a player while the other ball is in the hands of the players opposite. The ball is overhand passes at the same time that the other ball is pushed by the leg of the opposite players.

Sideways Setting 10 Setting Dr...

Players work in pairs and stand across the court from each other. One player starts with the ball and overhand passes the ball high in the air before changing position to stand sideways. When the ball comes back down, the player sets the ball sideways to their teammate while standing sideways. The recipient then repeats this.

Team Passing 5 Drills - Volley...

Divide the court into 3 equal areas with a line across the length of the court. (6m x 9m) 8 player per small court<br /> <br />Throw the ball across the net first time under arm with straight arms or 1 arm overhead.<br /> <br />For every team, after the ball is thrown the team rotates clockwise one turn. Every time the ball is dropped the player that drops the ball has to leave the field. First team to lose all players loses the point.

Three players make a triangle while another joins one of the corners with a ball. The player passes the ball to another corner of the triangle before following the pass and standing behind the receiver, who continues the drill.

Players work in pairs and face each other, moving sideways along the court. While moving, players keep their knees bent and throw the ball underhand to each other.

Two players stand either side of the net and pass the ball overhead first time to their partner on the other side of the net.

Rally Drill 5 Drills - Volleyb...

ORGANISATION:<br />Divide the volleyball court into 3 parts with 8 players per area and 2 teams of 4.<br /><br />TASK:<br />Start the game/rally with an underhand serve where the ball hits the ground. If too close to the net, take 2 steps back. Pass the ball over the net in one go with:<br />- 2 outsrectched arms<br />- 1 overhand<br />- 1 underhand<br /><br />For each team of 4, the rules are:<br />If you throw the ball across the net, everyone rotates clockwise. If a player drops the ball/throws the ball out of play or into the net, they leave the court. When the ball is caught in the next rally three times in a row the player returns. When the court is empty the other team gets a point.

Volley the ball to your partner who digs the ball to themselves then volleys the ball back to you, whilst they are doing that you do a dive, roll or something else then they do the same as you dig and volley. Do this for a set time or number of good contacts.

The spiker begins by setting the ball to the setter, who spikes the ball in return. The spiker now digs the ball in the air to the setter, who this time does set the ball up for the spiker to attack and hit over the net.

Standing a few metres behind the baseline, player begins to toss, approach, jump and serve the ball, landing in between the baseline and the attack line.

Players start this drill on the back line in a press-up position looking at the coach.When the coach self feeds the ball players should get up to their feet and move forward to pass the ball back to the coach before it bounces.After passing the ball back players should run around the cones on the outside of the court and then join the back of the line.

Run and Pass 4 Passing Drills ...

Set up four cones in a square in one half of the court, with a player and a ball on each. The remainder of your players should line up a couple of meters behind the back line.On the coach's whistle players take it in turns to run out each cone in turn where they play a pass and return before running to the next station to play another pass and return.

Stage four of the serving progressions; throw the ball to go over the net to your partner with no bounce, stepping forwards with the opposite leg to the hand that you roll with (using body weight) and releasing the ball slightly higher.

Place the ball on the floor, in a good ready position push the ball sideways with a hand then move in rhythm with the ball for two side-steps bend and push the ball with the other hand in the other direction and repeat.

Players have a ball each and stand behind the back line.One at a time players must underarm serve the ball over the net and try to get their ball to land inside the target area, which is marked by cones.After serving the ball players must follow their serve, collect their ball and run around the court to the back of the line.
