Community | Driving Baseline, 90 Degree Pass, Sucsessive Quick Shots

DESCRIPTION

A ball is played up the wing to be collected running forwards on the reverse. The player drives to baseline through the red gates beats a line of cones or a active defender and makes a 90 degree pass to the edge of the D. A SHOT is aimed at back post while a player runs down the barrel of the shot. the deflection should occur inside of the P Shot. As soon as the ball hits the keepers pads then a 2nd ball is played to the player on the black cone from the yellow cone for a quick 2 touch shot.

COACHING POINTS

Ball down the right wing should be made at pace! try to replicate a game secenario as best you can (you could add a passive defender) Drive at pace at baseline! (Within reason) the more aggresive you are with the drive the more successful they are. The 90 degree pass must be 90 degrees, if it is angled towards top D it becomes very easy to defend against. SHOTS MUST BE ON TARGET the deflection is there to make it even harder for the keeper. Deflections should keep the pace on the ball (correct positioning, inside P Spot to the right of the P Spot in the diagram) Hands low to the ground.
