Optional: Prepare for this activity by practicing slapshots or hitting in pairs. Procedure: Two teams of 4, two mini goals or cone gates. Players start at positions 1-4. Teams pass to their striker who tries to score in the goal. Which team will be first to shoot all of their [4] balls? Replay x [4], with players rotating so that everyone gets to score. Variations: Teams of 3. No player at cone3, have player2 run to cone3 and then pass to shooter. Teams of 2. No player at cone3 or cone4. Player1 passes to cone2 then runs to goal, meanwhile player2 runs to cone3 and crosses back to player1 who scores. Space cones further apart to practise longer passes. Progression: Higher difficulty/older children: pass-and-move, i.e. players move to next cone with each pass.
This activity is intended for U8 or U10 players.
