Hockey Drill Demonstration

Description

This can hold a varying number of player, and trains the goalkeeper too.

  • The sides alternate so the goalkeeper only has to deflect one shot at a time.
  • The player on the blue cone (the cone outside the shooting circle) passes the ball to the person on the top of the D (and follows their pass).
  • The player on the top of the D shoots at the goal- preferably a hit. Only have one shot. Players muct move to the opposite side when finished, on the cone outside the D.

Coaching points

May need to teach proper hitting technique.

If struggling, allow players to come close to the goal before shooting (accuracy before power)
