Community | Defend the Triangle

Gary Key Coach, England

DESCRIPTION

There should be 2 more attackers than defenders. 2 players can be jokers who always attack. Attackers start with the ball. They try to pass through the triangle to a team-mate for 1 pt. If defenders can steal and carry the ball to the pitch edge, switch roles. Variations: Give the attackers [3] chances (balls) to score, then switch defenders. With GK: GK defends outside the triangle (to practice closing down+footwork) GK 'keeps goal' inside the triangle (to practice blocks/kicks)
