This week's session is one for your goal scorers, your GA and GS, as we work on improving attacking movement in the circle - getting players to lose their markers and move to the post to cut down the distance for the shot!
The main philosophy for this session is to get your shooters to make life easy for themselves - when moving to lose their marker and receive the pass players should be thinking "How can I use my lead run to get closer to the post?" - making the shot as easy as possible.
What's in the session?
To improve lead running we start with a speed and agility pairs shooting exercise - designed to get your players warm while also giving them plenty of shooting practice. From this we then add defenders into the circle and see how effective your shooters are at making space (and how good your defenders are at cutting out the pass!)
