Grassroot serving | 7 Serve Drills

Grassroot serving:

2 players, 1 ball. The player serving has to hit the ball over the net so that the other player can catch the ball.

If they are successful 3 times in a row the player can take a step back and move closer to the back line.

Once players reach the back line they can swap roles.

2 Player Serve | MVT:SERVING

2 Player Serve:

Players 1 and 2 serve 5 balls each. Players 3 and 4 pass the ball to player 5 who catches the ball and rolls it back under the net to the servers. Servers should try and serve into the open court to make it difficult for the receivers

Target serving | 7 Serve Drills

Target serving:

Players have a ball each and stand behind the back line.

One at a time players must underarm serve the ball over the net and try to get their ball to land inside the target area, which is marked by cones.

After serving the ball players must follow their serve, collect their ball and run around the court to the back of the line.

Target Serving | MVT:SERVING

Target Serving:

Numbers 1 and 2 serve and aim at the targets.

The other players must act as ball boys and keep up the supply of balls to the servers.
