Blocking is the main skill a defence can use against an attacking team, and although it looks simple, there is far more to it than simply jumping and throwing your hands up.
Blocking is one of the least-taught skills in volleyball despite being one of the most important. The aim of this session is to help your blockers master their movement along the net, while also ensuring they are correctly positioning themselves when blocking.
What's in the Session?
Starting with a number of warm ups that work on the muscles needed to block effectively, we then move on to working in pairs and individually to improve blocking technique. Packed with 9 video drills, this is a session your blockers can't afford to miss out on!
Volleyball demands explosive power, quick reactions, and endurance for long matches. Sport-specific conditioning prepares athletes for the unique physical demands of the game while reducing injury risk.
Volleyball is the ultimate team sport - no player can dominate alone. Effective communication before, during, and after every play prevents confusion and creates a cohesive, confident team.
Elite attackers don't just hit hard - they hit smart. Shot variety, reading the block, and making good decisions under pressure separate great hitters from one-dimensional power players.
