DESCRIPTION

Set out four cones as per diagram. The player starts at Cone A and sprints to Cone B and touches the base of the cone with their right hand. They then turn left and shuffle sideways to Cone C touching it's base with their left hand. Player shuffles sideways to the right to Cone D and touches the base of the cone with their right hand. Players shuffle back to Cone B touching with the left hand, and run backwards to Cone A. The stopwatch is stoppped as the player passes Cone A.

COACHING POINTS

Make sure the players face forwards when shuffling and do not cross their feet over. Optional: To increase specificity for hockey the drill can be performed with the player dribbling a ball.
