Task 1 Numbers/Position Player are divided into 2 teams and numbered or in bibs. The teams stand opposite sides of the netball court, with a ball placed in the centre. 2 positions are called and those players on each team must run to get the ball, pass it to one another to score a goal â the other team are require to do stage 2 defending. Instead of 2 numbers or position called coach to call 1 but the other player would need to realise that it is their opponent called and run to defend. Players can be moved to the 2 third lines and be defenders along the court line.

Stage 2 is to apply pressure on the pass Feet on the ground Take up a position 0.9m in front of the player with the ball asap Fully stretch to cover the space as near the ball as possible Cover the space in front of the ball and the space to the side with both hands shadowing Focus on the ball and the players eyes The defence may jump however when airborne the attacker may move around the defender
