The aim of this drill is to work with the defensive players to build skills in their defending and get them to learn to always be on their toes. There is an attacker in the center circle and a defender on the outside it. The rest of the players form a circle around them. The ball starts on the outside of the circle and needs to get passed around and try to get it to the attacker in the middle. The defender always needs to be on their toes and follow the ball to intercept the pass into the attacker. The defender should catch the ball preferably with both hands and not bat it away.
