Netball Drill Demonstration
|
Description
As many players as you like! (Minimum of 4). Each player has a ball bar one.
Line up as shown with the player without the ball at the far end.
WD has to move her ball all the way down the line to GD. The ball must be caught by all the other players in the process.
- GS starts the practise by throwing her ball in the air above her head. WD passes the ball to GS.
- GS passes the ball to C, who has also thrown her ball up in the air. GS then catches her original ball.
- This repeats all the way down the line until the last player (GD) has recieved WD's ball.
Repeat in the other direction. Ensure players swap positions.
Players need to keep their knees soft and their eyes on the ball!
The idea of the challenge is to work together to figure out the correct timings to release the balls.
You will find players start edging forward. Encourage them to keep in a straight line and stand up straight.
