- 2 designated taggers each have a coloured bib and a soft foam ball. - The taggers stand in the middle of the area. - The other students spread out in the area and run around. Taggers aim an underarm throw at students. - The aim of the game is for the non taggers to try and catch the ball from taggers under pressure whilst moving. - If the ball is dropped, the student has to throw and catch to themselves a number of times (throws must be above the head) for example 10 times. - When throws are completed, the student is free to run again.
-Eyes are focused on the ball throughout the catch. -Hands move to meet the ball. -Hands and fingers positioned correctly to catch the ball. -Catch and control the ball with hands only. -Elbows bend to absorb force of the ball.
