PLAY â 2 V 2 End Zone Number of players â players are working in groups of four, split into pairs How to play â in their pairs the aim is to receive the ball on the opposite line in order to gain a point, the other pair are defending to try and stop them from doing this. They must start with the ball from their transverse line and work together to keep possession to make their way down to the opposite transverse line. Rules â Netball rules apply, except three seconds. If the defending team intercept the ball, they then become the attackers and try to get to their end zone to score a point. After a point has been scored, the opposite team attack, the team that just scored must return to their line to restart play. Conditions - players must change direction in order to get away from their defender and receive the ball. No overhead passes PRACTICE: Demonstrations â three players, one feeder, one defender, one attacker. Feeder throws the ball up to start, attacker is to show change of direction to get past the defender and receive the ball. They will do this three times from three different angles, so that everyone can see a clear change of direction. Modifications- add the three second rule back into the game. Add in a certain number of passes that have to be made before getting to the end zone, e.g. five passes before reaching the end zone. Overload the attackers so that it is a three vs one. Questions â why is it important to be able to change direction? When is it most important to be able to change direction? Show me how you would change direction? PLAY â Rotate to play against a different pair. Must use a change of direction. Remove the three second rule
Plant your outside foot, drive in the opposite direction Turn your hips on the final drive

A ready-to-run Halloween session for High 5 and junior netball. Real drills in spooky costume, with a warm-up, a technical block, a decision-making game and a finish.
Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
