this drill still working on passing and catching adds in the aspect of a defender. everyone is in pairs lined up on either side of the court facing one another. two of the players are in the middle, one is trying to move around and get the ball to everyone lined up on the outside while the other is trying to stop them by defending. this also adds in the competition aspect. if the player gets an intercept they get a point and if the other player successfully passes to everyone they get a point. you keep going until every pair has gone through.

Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
