Have 2 Feeders (F1, F2) passing to each other about 5m apart. The defender will start to the side and slightly behind F2. F1 will pass the ball to F2 and the defender will go for the intercept. If they get it they pass back to F1 (if not F2 passes back to F1). The defender then runs back the way they came the whole way around the back of F2, to make a circle before intercepting the next. Challenge your defenders to get 6 intercepts of passes in a row. Defenders should: Cut onto the ball Hands up to meet ball early Run through the ball Pause before giving the ball back Offload and go

Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
