With a group of 8 or more. Players need to split into even groups on 4 corners of a square. 2 balls must start in opposite corners. Players will receive the ball from their left to start with. 1. The first players in line A and B start with the ball. 2. The first player in line C drives to the centre cone to receive the ball from the first player in line B, simultaneously player 1 in line D drives and receives the ball. 3. Both players release the ball in the centre (1) - (2) release the ball to the player opposite them. 4. Repeat... Players need to be ready to receive the ball - signalling where they would like to receive the ball. Encourage players to land 1-2 (footing) then release the ball. This should minimise stepping. Encourage players to communicate with one another throughout the whole practice - this will also help develop team cohesion.

Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
A shooter who can hold a strong position under the post is worth more than one who runs all over the circle. Here is how to coach body shape, a legal hold and a well-timed release, and how feeders make the most of it.
