OBJECT To touch the goalpost wiht the ball before geing intercepted or tipped by the defences. Netball rules all apply, except no limit to attacks in circle. HOW TO PLAY Defence players take up a bibbed position, and work to guard the area around them. Defences must stay in their area and work within the rules of netball. Any player can interept at any time, and all defences should be talking to communicate where they see the gaps and path of the ball going. Attacks will be driving into the spaces for the pass. When the ball is intercepted, tipped or the attacks infringe the rules (Held Ball, Stepping, etc) the defences return their bib to the ground in their area and move to the position on their left. The WD will move out to become an attacker, and an attacker will switch into the GA bib. GA > C > GD > GK > WD > attack If the attacks make it to the goalpost, they return the ball to the C circle and try to again reach the goalpost.
Defences to guard an area, not a player, so watch that they are not caught out following an attack Defences should keep talking to each other, communicating where the attacks are moving to, where the intercept might be. Defences will be working hard to close options for the attacks causing held ball. Defences will be ready to time their run to the space to intercept the pass.
