Learners - Developing, best suited for anywhere between 10 â 15 students (the more students the more space required) Equipment - Basketballs - 1 per student. Space - Require full court, either a netball or basketball court (can work on either surfaces) Time - This drill/game can be used for 5 minutes. DESCRIPTION Start each student with a basketball each, get them to spread out and practice bouncing while counting to 20. Then get the students to play a game of who can bounce it the most amount of times in a row. Get the students to find their own space so they canât touch each other. Count the students down; Ready, Set, GO! When the students lose control of the ball or have to catch it get them to sit down, the last student standing wins. Then get the students to find a line on the basketball court and walk along the line while bouncing the ball. They can go in any direction they want as long as they stay on that line. The next step is to do the same thing but get them jogging. Then again same thing but running. Once all 3 have been completed you can then begin a game similar to line chasey. Get all the students to find a line on the basketball court with their ball in hand, then get one student to be âitâ. That student then tries to âcatchâ other students (tap on their back) while everyone is bouncing their own ball. If a student is âcaughtâ they must sit on try bounce the ball 5 times while seated until they are allowed back in the game. Teacher is in charge of changing the student that is âitâ. Teacher can add variations such as; - walking and bouncing - jogging and bouncing - running and bouncing NOTE: because students are at a developing level the line chasey game is not only focused on speed but being able to bounce on a line but also being able to look up while bouncing. Therefore, students are not eliminated from the game when caught.

New hitters rarely miss because of their arm. They miss because of their feet. Build a reliable approach, then time it with your setter.
When your hitter gets stuffed, five teammates standing and watching is how you lose the point. Good attack coverage turns a blocked ball into a second swing.
Coaches spend hours correcting arms in serve receive when the real fault is almost always the feet. Fix the movement and the platform fixes itself.
