An extension of shooting underneath the post however there is now a defence to block the space. The player will run into the space and shoot getting the rebound and throwing the ball back to the thrower, then will remain in the circle. The opposite player will run out however the player who just shot will remain in the circle trying to block the player out and defend the ball. Then once the player has shot and fought for the rebound the defender will run to the opposite line and the player who just shot will remain in the circle to defend.
The players need to ensure reaction time in all areas. The players need to run onto the ball quicker and not hold back and if needs be dodge to the ball. The players also need to ensure that they are as close to the post as possible and are jumping for rebounds. The defenders are at an advantage already in the circle therefore must block and defend keeping the players out. It is crucial that they ensure that the attackers cant get close to the post and guard the area keeping them out a distance.
