Cherie Crimp Coach, Australia

DESCRIPTION

3 Players, 2 Balls 1 feeder set is positioned in the goal circle, with the other 1-2 metres beyond the transverse line. The worker starts in front of the triangle of cones, which are setup a couple of metres off the goal circle. The first two drives, despite being short, should have a strong 45-degree angle and a sharp change of direction back at the start point. Watch for your players driving ‘flat’ on the second drive. The three cones can be hit in any order, with the focus on the worker trying to keep their eyes up on the second passer while completing the footwork. The pocket ball should be pulled in strongly with two hands, landing with control. After the dropped ball, the roll must be away from the second thrower, towards the outside of the court, turning the head quickly to sight the first thrower and receive the final pass. Place a defender on the goaler for the final feed, if you wish. Complete the sequence 4-6 times in a row, before rotating. To increase the fitness component, have each player complete the set 1-2 times on each side of the court
