First Phase 1 Feeder and others line up behind each other In twos - plays drive out and the front player will receive the ball. The player behind the front player will still drive out but will read the player in fronts movements to make the decision of which direction to go Second Phase Format as above Now the front player will receive the ball but the second player will need to change direction to receive the ball from the front player and then pass back to feeder and repeat. Third Phase Format as above Difference: 3 passes need to be completed between each player, changing their direction each time before receiving the pass before return to feeder and repeat. Final Phase Add a defender to defend the space between attackers. Additional Rule: You could add an additional rule that attackers cannot pass overheads over the defender. Learning Point: Makes attackers think of their passes and drive to the ball. Ensure attackers donât just double dodge or dance on the spot. The aim of the drill is drive to ball.
1) Ensure that both players lead out to give two options to the feeder 2) players must change direction to receive the pass without pause or hesitation 3) Pass ahead of the receiver
