4 players, 2 balls, 3 different coloured cones Feeder starts with back to rest of group, sends ball up in air to themselves and turns. This is to establish timing. Working player (A) drives forward to receive a pass. In the meantime, 2 feeders (in red) are throwing a ball back and forward. The final feeder is holding up one of the 3 coloured cones. As the working player (A) turns with their ball, they need to sight which of the red feeders does NOT have the ball and send their pass to them. At the same time they should call out the colour of the cone in the hands of the final feeder. Progressions: 2 coloured cones are held up Cone-holder moves to one side or the other (rather than standing in the middle); especially useful if you notice a player has a dominant turning side or only turns partially on one or both sides) Add in a defender between the working player and the feeders passing the ball to each other (defender should have eyes forward and not be tracking that 2nd ball). Working player needs to send quickly before giving away her open player with eyes!
Drive towards ball, using arms and feet under body. Ball placement ahead and with some lift to enable jump and turn in the air. Head around quickly as player turns to sight as soon as possible - the rest of the body will naturally follow! In control and balanced as you turn. Quick release of ball to available player. Sighting the coloured cone to confirm that they have full vision down the court. Use of peripheral vision to support quick decision making. Make sure players turn in both directions - this can be facilitated by the feed of the ball.

A ready-to-run Halloween session for High 5 and junior netball. Real drills in spooky costume, with a warm-up, a technical block, a decision-making game and a finish.
Tight markers win when attackers run in straight lines. Teach your players to dodge, change pace and time their drive so they get free when the ball is ready.
When everyone chases the ball, nobody is free. Teach your team to spread out, offer two options and clear space so the ball moves cleanly down court.
